‘Come Fly With Me’ is the new sketch show by the 2 guys behind ‘Little Britain. It’s a spoof on all those airport reality show’s most of us love to watch. In the show David and Matt play a number of different characters including a Middle Eastern passenger liaison officer called Moses and a coffee shop worker from the Caribbean called ‘Precious’ Some viewers have complained saying it’s racist. I have to say in today’s super politically over the top correct society, doing a sketch show like this is brave and maybe some would say stupid. We live in a Country that loves to complain more then applaud. However watching it there were moments when I felt a little uncomfortable I felt Precious had an accent that sounded so muddled up I have no idea what part of the Caribbean she is from having said that it was a throw away thing not something that was so upsetting i felt the need to complain to the BBC. I recently interviewed Matt Lucas about the show and he genuinely seemed like he and David wanted to show a lighthearted real look at the wonderful and bizarre people we bump into at the airport.
