So this Sunday I have been hanging out with one of Hip-Hops biggest names Busta Rhymes. Last night he was killin it on stage with Spliff Star and DJ Scratch at Wembley Arena, but today he was in Brixton taking part in the Orange Rock Corps program to encourage young people to fix up and do something positive.
Busta told me he was always taught ‘if you are not a part of the solution you must be part of the problem’. He helped young people to clean up a school and then rewarded them with tickets to see him perform live at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in September.
He really made a difference today and spoke from the heart. After we finished talking about the project I asked him about the label situation. I’m not gonna front Busta didn’t wanna talk about it, but you know me I kept pushing lol. Busta had this to say:
” I love the gossip, the propaganda, people love to talk and I think that is good cause it means you are still relevent. My new album will be out in October, when a new announcement needs to be made it will and right now it’s all good and I don’t want the fans or anyone worrying everything is good and going to plan…..”
He also told me he is back in the studio recording more tracks for the new album and it sounds like Busta Rhymes is gonna kill it this year!!
